Before Using
In deciding to using a medication, the chance of taking the drug must be

Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual
or allergy to voriconazole. Also tell your family doctor and pharmacist
if you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives,

Pregnancy care
Voriconazole has been shown to cause fetal harm.
Women must use effective contraception during treat with voriconazole.
However, this drug may be needed in serious diseases or other situations
that threaten the mother's life. Before taking this drug, be sure your
family doctor knows if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Breast-feeding problem
It is not known whether voriconazole passes into
breast milk. Voriconazole must not be using by nursing mothers unless the
benefit outweighs the risk.
Use for Children
Studies on this drug have been done only in
diseaseds 12 and older and there is no special info comparing the
use of voriconazole in child with use in other age groups.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects
or problems in elderly people. Voriconazole is not expected to cause various
side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people.
Drug interactions
Although certain medication must not be using

with voriconazole can increase blood levels of either these medication or of
voriconazole.

Astemizole - Hismanal

Terfenadine Voriconazole may cause these drugs to remain in
your body longer, which can lead to heart problems. Taking these medication
at the same time as voriconazole is not recommended.

Barbiturates, long acting

Carbamazepine - Tegretol These medication may decrease
the amount of voriconazole in your body. Taking these medication at the same
time as voriconazole is not recommended.

Calcium channel blockers - drug for high blood pressure such
as:

Felodipine - Plendil Using these medication together with
voriconazole can increase blood levels of these medication. Your family doctor may
want to change the dose of your drug.

Cyclosporine

Tacrolimus - Prograf Using these medication together with
voriconazole can increase blood levels of these medication.

Ergot alkaloids - Belladonna, Phenobarbital, Ergotomine tartrate Voriconazole
may increase the blood levels of these medication. Taking these medication at
the same time as voriconazole is not recommended.

Rifabutin Using this drug with voriconazole may increase
blood levels of rifabutin and decrease blood levels of voriconazole. Taking
this drug at the same time as voriconazole is not recommended.

Rifampin Using this drug with voriconazole may decrease
blood levels of voriconazole. Taking this drug at the same time as voriconazole
is not recommended.

Sirolimus - Rapamune Using this drug with voriconazole
may increase blood levels of sirolimus. Taking this drug at the same time
as voriconazole is not recommended.

Warfarin - Coumadin Taking this drug with voriconazole
may increase your bleeding time. The dose of warfarin may need to be adjusted.
Other Information for using
The presence of other medical
problems may effect the use of voriconazole. Make sure you tell your family doctor
if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Hypersensitivity to voriconazole or any of the ingredients in voriconazole.
