Along with its needing effects, a dietary supplement may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
When the correct amount of this dietary supplement is using, side effects usually are rare. However, taking an overdose of fluoride may cause serious problems .
Stop taking this dietary supplement and check with your family doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur, as they may be signs of severe fluoride overdose:
Black, tarry stools; bloody vomit; diarrhea; drowsiness; faintness; increased watering of mouth; nausea or vomiting; shallow breathing; stomach cramps or pain; tremors; unusual excitement; watery eyes; weakness
Check with your family doctor or dentist as soon as possible if the following side effects occur, as some may be early signs of possible chronic fluoride overdose:
Pain and aching of bones; skin rash; sores in the mouth and on the lips; stiffness; white, brown, or black discoloration of teeth
More common side effects not listed above may also occur in some diseaseds. If you notice any other problems, check with your family doctor or dentist.
