Before Using

In deciding to using a medication, the chance of taking the drug must be weighed against the good it will do. This is a decision you will make. For ursodiol, the following must be considered

Allergic reaction

Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or allergy to ursodiol or other products containing bile acids.

Diet It is thought that body weight and the kind of diet the patient follows may effect how fast the stones dissolve and whether new stones will form. However, check with your family doctor before going on any diet.

Pregnancy care

Ursodiol has not been studied in pregnant women. However, ursodiol has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems in animal studies. Before taking this drug, make sure your family doctor knows if you are pregnant or if you may become pregnant.

Breast-feeding problem

It is not known whether ursodiol passes into the breast milk. Although most medication pass into breast milk in small amounts, many of them may be using safely while breast-feeding. Mothers who are taking this drug and who wish to breast-feed must discuss this with their family doctor.

Use for Children

Although there is no special info comparing use of ursodiol in child with use in other age groups, this drug is not expected to cause various side effects or problems in child than it does in adults.

Elderly care

This drug has been tested in a limited number of diseaseds over 65 years of age and has not been shown to cause various side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people. However, elderly diseaseds may be more sensitive than adults people to the effects of ursodiol.

Drug interactions

Although certain medication must not be using together at all, in other cases two various medication may be using together even if an interaction might occur.
