Before Using
In deciding to using a medication,
the chance of taking the drug must be weighed against the good it will

Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to troglitazone. Also tell your health care professional
if you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives,
or dyes.
Pregnancy care
Troglitazone has not been studied in pregnant women.
However, it is easier during pregnancy to control your blood sugar by using
injections of insulin, rather than by taking troglitazone. Close control of
your blood sugar can reduce the risk of your baby gaining too much weight,
having birth defects, or having high blood sugar before birth. Be sure to
tell your family doctor if you plan to become pregnant or you think you are pregnant.
Breast-feeding problem
It is not known whether troglitazone passes into
the breast milk of humans. However, troglitazone is not recommended during
breast-feeding.
Use for Children
Studies on this drug have been done only in adult
diseaseds and there is no special info comparing use of troglitazone
in child with use in other age groups.
Elderly care
This drug has been tested in a limited number
of diseaseds 65 years of age or older and has not been shown to cause various
side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people.
Drug interactions
Although certain medication must not be using
together at all, in other cases two various medication may be using together
even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your family doctor may want to
change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. When you are taking
troglitazone, it is especially important that your health care professional

together

Oral contraceptives - birth control pills containing estrogen or
norethindrone Use of troglitazone with oral contraceptives may prevent
oral contraceptives from help you, increasing the risk of pregnancy

Terfenadine - Seldane Use of troglitazone with terfenadine
may decrease the effects of terfenadine; these medication must not be using
together
Other Information for using
The presence of other medical
problems may effect the use of troglitazone. Make sure you tell your family doctor
if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Diabetic ketoacidosis - ketones in the blood

Type 1 diabetes Insulin is needed to control these conditions

Heart disease

Liver disease Troglitazone may make these conditions worse
