How to Use
Do not use
this drug to treat nausea and vomiting in child unless otherwise directed
by your family doctor. If you are giving this drug to a child, be especially
careful not to give more than is prescribed since side effects may be more
serious in child.
Trimethobenzamide is using only to relieve or prevent nausea and vomiting.
Use it only as directed. Do not use more of it and do not use it more often
than your family doctor ordered. To do so may increase the risk of side effects.
To insert the rectal suppository form
of this
drug:

First, remove foil wrapper and moisten the suppository with cold
water. Lie down on your side and use your finger to push the suppository well
up into the rectum. If the suppository is too soft to insert, chill it in
the refrigerator for 30 minutes or run cold water over it before removing
the foil wrapper.

Wash your hands with soap and water.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older 250 milligrams

than 200 mg three or four times a day as needed.

or four times a day as needed, injected into a muscle.

Missed dose If you must use this drug regularly and you
miss a dose, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for
your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Storage To store this drug:

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store away from heat and direct light.

Do not store the capsule form of this drug in the bathroom, near
the kitchen sink, or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the
drug to break down.

Do not keep outdated drug or drug no longer needed. Be sure
that any discarded drug is out of the reach of children.
