Thiotepa - thye-oh-TEP-a belongs to the group of medication called alkylating agents. It is using to treat some kinds of cancer.
Thiotepa interferes with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed. Since the growth of normal body cells may also be effected by thiotepa, other effects will also occur. Some of these may be serious and must be reported to your family doctor. Other effects, like hair loss, may not be serious but may cause concern. Some effects do not occur for months or years after the drug is using.
Before you begin treat with thiotepa, you and your family doctor must talk about the good this drug will do as well as the chance of using it.
