Hydroxyzine is not recommended during the first months of pregnancy because it has been shown to cause birth defects in rats when given in doses up to many times the usual human dose.

Breast-feeding problem

Theophylline and ephedrine pass into breast milk and may cause unwanted effects such as irritability in babies of mothers taking this drug. Hydroxyzine has been reported to cause unusual excitement or irritability in nursing babies.

Use for Children

Theophylline, ephedrine and hydroxyzine combination drug is not recommended for use in child up to 2 years of age. Although there is no special info about the use of theophylline, ephedrine, and hydroxyzine combination drug in child 2 years of age and older, it is not expected to cause various side effects or problems in these children than it does in adults.

Elderly care

Patients older than 60 years of age may be especially sensitive to the effects of theophylline, ephedrine and hydroxyzine combination drug. This may increase the risk of side effects during treat.
