For resorcinol, the following must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to resorcinol. Also tell your health care professional if
you are allergic to any other substances, such as preservatives or dyes.
Pregnancy care
Resorcinol may be absorbed through the mother's skin.
However, topical resorcinol has not been shown to cause birth defects or other
problems.
Breast-feeding problem
This drug may be absorbed through the mother's
skin. However, topical resorcinol has not been reported to cause problems
in nursing babies.
Use for Children
Resorcinol may be absorbed through the skin and must
not be using on large areas of the bodies of infants and children. In addition,
resorcinol must not be using on wounds, since doing so may cause a blood
disease called methemoglobinemia.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people. Although there is no special info
comparing use of resorcinol in the elderly with use in other age groups, this
drug is not expected to cause various side effects or problems in older
people than it does in adults people.
Drug interactions
Although certain medication must not be using
