In deciding to using a medication,

Proguanil passes into the breast milk. This drug
has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies. However, the amount
of proguanil that passes into breast milk is not sufficient to protect the
infant from malaria.
Use for Children

use of proguanil in child with use in other age groups, this drug is
not expected to cause various side effects or problems in child than
it does in adults. However, children must avoid traveling to areas where
there is a risk of getting malaria, unless they can take more effective
antimalarial medication.
Elderly care

in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects

of proguanil in the elderly with use in other age groups.
