Your health care professional must check your progress at regular appointments to make sure that this drug does not cause unwanted effects.

Do not take iron supplements within 1 to 2 hours of taking this drug . To do so may keep the iron from help you.

For diseaseds taking potassium phosphate-containing medication :

• Check with your health care professional before starting any strenuous physical exercise, especially if you are out of condition and are taking other medication. Exercise and certain medication may increase the amount of potassium in the blood.

For diseaseds on a potassium-restricted diet :

• This drug may contain a large amount of potassium. If you have any questions about this, check with your health care professional.
• Do not use salt substitutes and low-salt milk unless told to do so by your health care professional. They may contain potassium.

For diseaseds on a sodium-restricted diet :

• This drug may contain a large amount of sodium. If you have any questions about this, check with your health care professional.
