Before Using
In deciding to using a medication,
the problems of uses this drugs must be weighed against the good it will do.
This is a decision you will make. For neomycin, polymyxin
B and hydrocortisone ophthalmic drops, the following must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to this drug or to any related antibiotic, such as amikacin
- Amikin, colistimethate - Coly-Mycin M, colistin - Coly-Mycin
S, gentamicin - Garamycin, kanamycin - Kantrex, netilmicin -
Netromycin, paromomycin - Humatin, streptomycin, or tobramycin -
Nebcin. Also tell your health care professional if you are allergic to any
other substances, such as preservatives.
Pregnancy care
Neomycin, polymyxin B and hydrocortisone ophthalmic
preparations have not been studied in pregnant women. However, studies in
pets have shown that topical corticosteroids cause birth defects. Before
using this drug, make sure your family doctor knows if you are pregnant or if
you may become pregnant.
Breast-feeding problem
Neomycin, polymyxin B and hydrocortisone ophthalmic
drops have not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies.
Use for Children
Studies on this drug have been done only in adult
diseaseds and there is no special info comparing use in child with
use in other age groups.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects
or problems in elderly people. There is no special info comparing use
of ophthalmic neomycin, polymyxin B and hydrocortisone combination in the
elderly with use in other age groups.

The presence of other medical problems may effect
the use of neomycin, polymyxin B and hydrocortisone ophthalmic drops. Make

drops may make the condition worse
