Before Using
If you are using this drug
without a prescription, carefully read and follow any precautions on the label.
For topical neomycin, polymyxin B and bacitracin combination, the following
must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to this drug or to any related antibiotic, such as amikacin
- Amikin, colistimethate - Coly-Mycin M, colistin - Coly-Mycin
S, gentamicin - Garamycin, kanamycin - Kantrex, neomycin by mouth
or by injection - Mycifradin, netilmicin - Netromycin, paromomycin
- Humatin, polymyxin B by injection - Aerosporin, streptomycin,
or tobramycin - Nebcin. Also tell your health care professional if you
are allergic to any other substances, such as preservatives or dyes.
Pregnancy care
Neomycin, polymyxin B and bacitracin topical preparations
have not been studied in pregnant women. However, this drug has not been
shown to cause birth defects or other problems.
Breast-feeding problem
It is not known whether topical neomycin, polymyxin
B and bacitracin combination passes into breast milk. However, this drug
has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies.
Use for Children
Studies on this drug have been done only in adult
diseaseds and there is no special info comparing use of topical neomycin,
polymyxin B and bacitracin combination in child with use in other age
groups.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects
or problems in elderly people. There is no special info comparing use
