considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to neomycin and polymyxin B combination or to any related
antibiotic: Amikacin - Amikin, colistimethate - Coly-Mycin M,
colistin - Coly-Mycin S, gentamicin - Garamycin, kanamycin -
Kantrex, neomycin by mouth or by injection - Mycifradin, netilmicin
- Netromycin, paromomycin - Humatin, polymyxin B by injection
- Aerosporin, streptomycin, or tobramycin - Nebcin. Always tell
your health care professional if you are allergic to any other substances,
such as preservatives or dyes.
Pregnancy care
Neomycin and polymyxin B topical preparations have
not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems.
Breast-feeding problem
Neomycin and polymyxin B topical preparations have
not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies.
Use for Children
Although there is no special info comparing
use of neomycin and polymyxin B combination in child with use in other
age groups, this drug is not expected to cause various side effects
or problems in child than it does in adults.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects
