Before Using
If you are using this drug
without a prescription, carefully read and follow any precautions on the label.
For ophthalmic naphazoline, the following must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to naphazoline. Also tell your health care professional
if you are allergic to any other substances, such as preservatives.
Pregnancy care
This drug may be absorbed into the body. However,
studies on effects in pregnancy have not been done in either humans or pets.
Breast-feeding problem
Naphazoline may be absorbed into the mother's body.
However, this drug has not been reported to cause problems in nursing
babies.
Use for Children
Use by infants and children is not recommended, since
they are especially sensitive to the effects of naphazoline.
Elderly care
Many medication have not been studied specifically
in elderly people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly
the same way they do in adults people or if they cause various side effects
or problems in elderly people. There is no special info comparing use
of naphazoline in the elderly with use in other age groups.
