How to Use

Take this drug only as directed by your family doctor . Do not take more or less of it than your family doctor ordered.

To help you remember to take your drug, try to get into the habit of taking it at the same times each day.

Dosage

The dose of metyrosine will be various for various diseaseds Follow your family doctor's orders or the directions on the label . The following information includes only the average doses of metyrosine If your dose is various, do not change it unless your family doctor tells you to do so:

For oral dosage forms - capsules:
- Adults and children 12 years of age and older: 1000 milligrams to 3000 milligrams - 1 to 3 grams a day, divided into four doses.

Missed dose If you miss a dose of this drug, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Storage To store this drug:
