Along with their needing effects, medication like methotrexate can sometimes cause unwanted effects such as blood problems, kidney problems, stomach or liver problems, loss of hair and other side effects. Black, tarry stools; blood in urine or stools; bloody vomit; diarrhea; joint pain; reddening of skin; stomach pain; swelling of feet or lower legs

More common side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treat as your body adjusts to the drug. This drug may cause a temporary loss of hair in some people. After treat with methotrexate has ended, normal hair growth must return.
