How to Use

Before applying this drug, wash the effected area with soap and water and dry thoroughly. Apply a small amount to the effected area and rub in gently.

After this drug is applied, the treated area may be covered with a gauze dressing if desired.

To help clear up your infection completely, keep using this drug for the full time of treat , even though your symptoms may have disappeared Do not miss any doses .

Dosage

The dose of topical gentamicin will be various for various diseaseds Follow your family doctor's orders or the directions on the label . The following information includes only the average dose of topical gentamicin If your dose is various, do not change it unless your family doctor tells you to do so.

For topical dosage forms - cream or ointment:
- For bacterial infections:
  - Adults and children 1 year of age and over Apply to effected area - s of the skin three or four times a day.

Missed dose If you miss a dose of this drug, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
