Before Using

Allergic reaction

Pregnancy care

Formoterol has not been studied in pregnant women. However, animal studies have shown an increase in the number of birth defects and other negative effects on the fetus

Breast-feeding problem

It is not known if inhaled formoterol is distributed in human breast milk. However, it is distributed in rat milk. Mothers who are taking this drug and who wish to breast-feed must discuss this with their family doctor.

Use for Children

Studies on this drug been done only in diseaseds 5 years of age and older and there is no special info comparing use of formoterol in child less than 5 years of age with use in other age groups.

Elderly care

This drug has been tested and has not been shown to cause various side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people.

Other Information for using

The presence of other medical problems may effect the use of formoterol. Make sure you tell your family doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Acutely deteriorating asthma

Blocked heart
High blood pressure
Irregular heartbeat
Structural problems with the heart
Weak heart, unable to circulate blood effectively chance of increased side effects

Diabetes chance of increased side effects

Overactive thyroid
Seizures
