Before Using
In deciding to using a medication,
the problems of uses this drugs must be weighed against the good it will do.

must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual
or allergy to ertapenem. Also tell your health care professional
if you have any had any unusual or allergy to penicillins,
cephalosporins, beta-lactamase inhibitors, lidocaine, or local anesthetics
of the amide type. Also tell your family doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic
to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives, or dyes.
Pregnancy care
Ertapenem has not been studied in pregnant women.
Ertapenem also has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems
in animal studies.
Breast-feeding problem
Ertapenem passes into breast milk. Although most
medication pass into breast milk in small amounts, many of them may be using
safely while breast feeding. Mothers who are taking this drug and who
wish to breast feed must discuss this with their family doctor.
Use for Children
Studies on this drug have only been done in
adult diseaseds and there is no special info comparing the use of
ertapenem in child with use in other age groups.
Elderly care
Ertapenem has not been studied specifically in
elderly people. Therefore, it is not known whether it causes various side
effects or problems in the elderly than it does in adults people.
Drug interactions
Although certain medication must not be using
