Allergic reaction

Dalteparin has not been studied in pregnant women. However, it has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems in pets.

Drug interactions

Bleeding problems
Eye problems causing by diabetes or high blood pressure
Heart infection
High blood pressure - hypertension
Kidney disease
Liver disease
Stomach or intestinal ulcer - active
Stroke The risk of bleeding may be increased

Always tell your family doctor if you have received dalteparin or heparin before and had a reaction to either of them called thrombocytopenia - a low platelet count in the blood, or if new blood clots formed while you were receiving the drug.

In addition, tell your family doctor if you have recently had medical surgery . This may increase the risk of serious bleeding when you are taking dalteparin.
