Allergic reaction

Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or allergy to corticosteroids. Also tell your health care professional if you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives, or dyes.

Pregnancy care

When using properly, these medication have not been shown to cause problems. Studies on birth defects have not been done. However, studies in pets have shown that topical corticosteroids, when applied to the skin in large amounts or using for a long time, could cause birth defects.

Breast-feeding problem

Topical corticosteroids have not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies when using properly. However, corticosteroids must not be applied to the breasts just before nursing.

Use for Children

Children and teenagers who must use this drug for a long time must be checked often by their family doctor. Other, more potent corticosteroids are absorbed through the skin and can effect growth or cause other unwanted effects. Topical corticosteroids also can be absorbed if they are applied to large areas of skin. These effects are less likely to occur with the use of the lower potency corticosteroids. However, before using this drug in child, you must discuss its use with your child's family doctor.

Elderly care

This drug is not expected to cause various side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people.

Drug interactions

Although certain medication must not be using together at all, in other cases two various medication may be using together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your family doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. Tell your health care professional if you are using any other topical prescription or nonprescription - over-the-counter "OTC " drug that is to be applied to the same area of the skin.
