Before Using

Allergic reaction

Breast-feeding problem

It is not known whether topical clotrimazole and betamethasone combination passes into the breast milk. However, clotrimazole and betamethasone may be absorbed into the mother's body and risk-benefit must be considered.

Betamethasone Corticosteroids, given by mouth or by injection, do pass into the breast milk. They may cause unwanted effects, such as slower growth rate of nursing babies.

Use for Children

Clotrimazole and betamethasone combination may rarely cause serious side effects. Some of these side effects may be more likely to occur in child, who may absorb greater amounts of this drug than adults do. Long-term use in child may effect growth and development as well. Therefore, it is especially important that you discuss with the child's family doctor the good that this drug may do, as well as the chance of using it.
