Before Using
In deciding to using a medication,
the chance of taking the drug must be weighed against the good it will
do. This is a decision you will make. For bupropion, the following
must be considered
Allergic reaction
Tell your family doctor if you have any unusual or
allergy to bupropion. Also tell your health care professional if
you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives, or
dyes.
Pregnancy care
Studies have not been done in pregnant women. However,
bupropion has not been reported to cause birth defects or other problems in
animal studies.
Breast-feeding problem
Bupropion passes into breast milk. Because it may
cause unwanted effects in nursing babies, use of bupropion is not recommended
during breast-feeding.
Use for Children
This drug has been tested in a very small number
of diseaseds 6 to 16 years of age and has not been shown to cause various
side effects or problems in child than it does in adults. More testing
is needed to decide whether bupropion is safe and effective for use in child.
Elderly care
This drug has been tested in a limited number
of diseaseds 60 years of age and older and has not been shown to cause various
side effects or problems in elderly people than it does in adults people.
Drug interactions
Although certain medication must not be using
together at all, in other cases two various medication may be using together
even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your family doctor may want to
change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. When you are taking
bupropion, it is especially important that your health care professional know

Ritonavir - Norvir Using these medication with bupropion
may increase the risk of seizures

Monoamine oxidase - MAO inhibitor activity - isocarboxazid
" Marplan ", phenelzine " Nardil ", procarbazine " Matulane ",
selegiline " Eldepryl ", tranylcypromine " Parnate " Do not take bupropion while you are taking or within 14 days
of taking an MAO inhibitor
or you may increase the risk of serious
side effects; at least 14 days must be allowed between stopping treat
with an MAO inhibitor and starting treat with bupropion

problems may effect the use of bupropion. Make sure you tell your family doctor if
you have any other medical problems, especially:

Seizure disorders The risk of seizures may be increased when
bupropion is taken by diseaseds with these conditions

Other nervous, mental, or emotional conditions

High blood pressure Bupropion may make the condition worse

Heart disease Higher blood levels of bupropion may result,
increasing the risk of side effects, or blood pressure may be increased

Kidney disease

Liver disease Higher blood levels of bupropion may result,
increasing the risk of side effects
